DigitalJ
The project DigitalJ allows its users to connect and interact with an event (e.g. a party). After an authentication to the server with a QR code, the application shows playlist and event information to the user and allows to provide feedback to the DJ, to vote and to wish songs. The server is written in Python and provides websites and json data through HTTP requests. The android application uses modern web technologies like jQueryMobile to provide an interactive mobile experience.
DigitalJ was developed together with Michael Mauderer and Emre Göynügür. It was part of the seminar Linking the Real and the Digital World through Android Applications at Saarland University during the summer term 2011. The project was supervised by Boris Brandherm.
