Ray Tracing
In a rendering competition we implemented six ray tracing techniques to render a self-designed scene. All objects in this brewery scene were modeled using Blender and 3ds Max 2010. The rendered image was awarded as the second best picture of the lecture "Computer Graphics" during the winter term 2010/2011 at Saarland University.
Implemented techniques
The basic ray tracer provided for the project was enhanced by implementation of the following algorithms:- Bump Mapping
- Depth of Field
- Integrated Intensity Volume Rendering
- Photon Mapping
- Procedural shading
- Reflective and Refractive Transparency
Picture concept and ray tracing application was developed together with Michal Richter. It was part of the lecture Computer Graphics at Saarland University during the winter term 2010/2011.
